Qualified Commercial Hazardous Waste

Qualifying businesses located in Albemarle County and the City of Charlottesville may, for a fee, bring their hazardous waste to the Ivy Solid Waste & Recycling Center, located at 4576 Dick Woods Road, Charlottesville, Virginia on April 24, 2025.
To qualify, businesses must generate less than 220 pounds of hazardous waste a month, less than 2.2 pounds of acutely hazardous waste a month, and store no more than 2,200 pounds of hazardous waste.
Advance registration is required. Businesses shall contact Peggy Snead with MXI Environmental to schedule an appointment via email or phone at 276-628-6636.
