Special Collection Event: Furniture

Albemarle County, City of Charlottesville, and Town of Scottsville residents are invited to dispose of their old, outdated, and broken furniture on Saturday, April 25, 2026, between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4 PM. Please bring help to unload. Staff are unable to assist during this event. The free bi-annual event accepts recliners, sofas, loveseats, tables, chairs, bedframes, dressers, entertainment centers, mattresses, nightstands, coffee tables, and more! The collection will take place at the Ivy Solid Waste & Recycling Center, located at 4576 Dick Woods Road, Charlottesville, Virginia. Commercial participation is prohibited.
