Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)

Residents of Albemarle County and the City of Charlottesville are invited to dispose of their household hazardous waste on April 25 and 26 between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4 PM.
The free bi-annual event welcomes paints, petroleum products, household cleaners, pesticides, batteries, fluorescent tubes, acids, adhesives, antifreeze, stains, paint thinners, spray paint, ink jet cartridges, photographic chemicals, mercury thermometers, driveway sealers, pool chemicals, resins, thermostats, and much more!
The collection will take place at the Ivy Solid Waste & Recycling Center, located at 4576 Dick Woods Road, Charlottesville, Virginia.
